In order to encourage and subsidize outstanding international students studying in Beijing, the Beijing Municipal Government has established Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students (BGS). Application for 2023-2024 BGS are notified as follows.

I. Categories and Amounts of Scholarship

1. Full Scholarship: full tuition fee for the academic year of 2023-2024;

2. Partial Scholarship: half of tuition fee for the academic year of 2023-2024;

3. Third-prize Scholarship: partial tuition fee for the academic year of 2023-2024.

II. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizens who do not have Chinese nationality under the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China;

2. Not a recipient of other scholarships;

3. CAU registered postgraduates;

4. No change in student status or visa;

5. No failing grade in compulsory courses;

6. Complying with Chinese laws and the CAU regulations; No misconduct record; No record of punishment.

III. Application Materials

1. Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students Application Form (registered students);

2. Official grades transcript by Graduate School;

3. Copies of published works or scientific research certificates and other relevant documents;

4. Relevant documents of participation in social/cultural activities on and off campus or copies of award certificates.

Note: Application materials will not be returned once submitted.

IV. Time of Application and Publication

Please send a scanned copy of all the application materials to the International Office: iso@cau.edu.cn. The deadline is 5p.m. on November 5. The list of recipients will be published in late November after review.
